A little tear

Watching tv today at lunch, obsessed by thoughts about...school. How much work I have to do this afternoon! Wish me good luck, please. But the quite cold voice from the news anchorman caught my attention, and my heart for a while! Six Italians paratroopers died a few days ago in Afganistan, people is quite angry here in Europe, we don't really think we should have a lot to do with a so far place and its troubles, but for hope in democracy, dream of power, or love of country, missions of "peace" involve our soldiers too with the Americans. Well, today they brought to Rome the six corpses of those unknown heros, and just a 2 year old kid, the basque of his brave father on his blond head and a blue t-shirt, made me cry, pointing with is little forefinger his dad's coffin, he tryed to run towards it, but the black dressed crushed mom didn't allow. So sad. I would hug them.

Italian troubles

I wanna share with you today my huge disappointment about the current work from Italian politicians. The 2008 elections gave the chance to govern to the right center parties, The conservative party wich leader is the SADLY famous and rich Berlusconi, and another right small growing party called "Lega Nord". Without the votes from Lega, Berlusconi couldn't be able to hold the government, so we have been assisting to a continuous blackmail from this small part of the Majority. Lega Nord is born as a party in order to reach the indipendence of Northern Italy, which, though being the same to Southern Italy about culture, religion, language and every piece that build a country, is the richest zone in it. The party is driving the government to approve laws in order to reject immigrants, to drive back to the South the Southern workers that stay in Northern Italy, to increase the knowing of northern dialects, to get higher salaries at Northern Italy, cause they have a "higher" cost of life. But the government MAYBE doesn't know here in South we have to spend a lot of money to move by ourselves, cause we have no good public transports, to TREAT our illnesses, cause we have bad hospitals so who want to be sure of his health has to move to North, to GO to university, cause they are much better in Northern Italy, to GET a JOB, to FIGHT against MAFIA. I'm still asking myself WHY an anti-nationalist and racist party like this is allowed to exist on the public scene. On their wall propagandas you can read "Fight against the thief Rome" or "American Indians accepted immigrants, now they live in Reserves" or "Let's TORTURE immigrants, it's called legal defence". They make me feel disgusted. How about politics in your countries? Are parties like this permitted? Luckily here in Southern Italy, we can comfort on our beautiful beaches, dancing on the music of Monday Night, tasting a delicious granita. You know what I mean? Smile.

Life less serious

I was having lunch on Friday with my family, mom, dad and my older sister. While he was eating pasta, my dad said "There will be a gay pride in the evening. What kind of people could go there?". I swallowed my pasta quite normally and stated: "I do". "Marjane invited me and I think I'll go". "Why?", "because I'm a polite person who respect others". I don't wanna say now that my dad is a racist or that I'm gay, but the "kind of racism" atmosphere drive me nervous, and that's all. I arrived to see only the ending speech of the pride, but the idea is what's worth. Many people don't understand
homosexuality is perfectly natural and normal, though we are already in 2009! Someone says God didn't create us for this, and that gay people goes against nature. "Ignorants", I'm tempted to think; what the hell do they know about God's purposes, we can't be even sure he (or she) exists. They say they believe in Jesus, but isn't he died for love? And isn't gay love love? In ancient Greece, my history professor told us, it was an every-day thing to see, like someone's going to take a coffee. Furthermore many animals practise homosexuality. So? What's wrong people? Just take life as it comes, make your choose and respect others' chooses. They're funny and wise too!

Just to be a little frivolous I'll tell you of a really great party I went yesterday evening. We smoked chocolate cigars and changed our voices with the helium of the balloons =) BUT, even in the perfect parties something goes wrong. The peaceful smoking pleasure went broken by a reaaally easy-going guy who still believes Italian politics worths something! And, thinking about people that today seat in our Parliament, I think that guy is going to seat there too someday, but it's not a compliment, soooo sorry! =) Another political question: do you think abstention from voting to the elections would be a way to express your idea or just uncaring attitude? Cause I argued also about this..My dear friend Pabla thinks that not voting stays for not caring. I thought this way until a wedding, where, in order to defeat the boring cerimony power, a kind lady told me she didn't believe in democracy. "It's not sure that the majority is always right". Mmmm, thinking of this idea and the politicians we have (here in Italy), I really find interesting the non vote option.
